Improvement method of aluminum tube railing installation process

By improving the installation and construction process of aluminum tube rail, the influence of structural deviation on railing installation is reduced, the processing efficiency and installation accuracy of aluminum tube rail components are improved, the on-site construction progress and quality are guaranteed, and the installation cost is reduced. 1 project overview

Take a residential project as an example. The project consists of 12 residential buildings with shear wall structure, with 1 floor underground and 14 ~ 17 floors above the ground. The total construction area is about 130000 m2. It is a class II high-rise residence. Residential balcony railings are glass railings with a height of 1150mm (calculated from the tread). The railing column is made of aluminum profile, and the column is inserted with galvanized steel core. The railing glass adopts 6mm + 1.14pvbmm + 6mm thick colorless transparent tempered laminated glass. The anchor plate of embedded parts is made of Q235B steel and fixed with the main structure with M12 chemical anchor bolts.

2 traditional aluminum tube railing installation process

2.1 process flow

Setting out and positioning of embedded parts before concrete pouring → setting out and review of embedded parts before railing construction → railing material preparation, blanking and fabrication → installation of railing components → in place → review size → adjustment → fastening and welding base → installation of glass → cleaning → sealant → flattening and calendering adhesive joints → removal of residual sealant and sanitary cleaning of the overall railing → finished product protection.

2.2 construction method

(1) Site setting out, positioning, setting out of embedded parts and installation of railing framework. Before on-site concrete pouring, the railing base shall be embedded according to the design drawings and specifications. After plastering and screeding the wall, confirm the position of on-site embedded parts, installation position and height of railings before plastering. Divide and adjust the column according to the construction drawings and the axis and elevation provided on site, determine the position of embedded parts and the size of column, and make marks and records.

Railings shall be processed in the factory according to the construction drawings and specifications, and the processing shall meet the design requirements. According to the site measurement and setting out position, the handrail, base and handrail bar shall be welded and installed firmly.

(2) Glass installation, gluing and finished product protection. After the completion of wall decoration, glass installation and gluing shall be carried out, and the sealant shall meet the requirements. The glue injection shall be dense, full and uniform. Protect finished products during installation.

2.3 control standards and precautions

Comply with the relevant provisions of unified standard for design of civil buildings GB 50352-2019 [1] and code for household acceptance of residential engineering quality in Fujian Province DBJ 13-119.

Before construction, the design template shall be confirmed to clarify the brand, material and color. Make construction samples and carry out large-scale construction after confirmation. Do a good job of material mobilization acceptance as required. The railings exceeding a certain length shall be reinforced as required to prevent the railings from shaking. The handrail installation shall meet the design requirements, be firm and free of warpage, have a smooth, tidy and beautiful surface, the handrail connection shall be smooth, the joint shall be tight and flat, and the corner radian shall be correct; The height, spacing and perpendicularity of railings shall meet the specification requirements [2,3].

2.4 record control

3. Improvement of aluminum tube railing installation process

3.1 process flow

After the completion of wall painting and screeding, set out on site before painting → preparation and blanking of railing embedded parts and rods and factory fabrication → railing components in place → punching and planting reinforcement of railing rear parts (base steel plate) → fastening the bolts of railing base steel plate and rear parts → adjusting the galvanized steel plate core of railing column → fastening the galvanized steel plate core of column and the bolts of aluminum alloy column Close the decorative cover (including the rail surface cross bar, tempered glass cushion groove and customized plastic protective cover) → finished product protection → install glass → cleaning → apply sealant → flatten and polish the sealant joint → remove the residual sealant and clean the overall fence → finished product protection.

3.2 construction method

(1) Site setting out, embedded parts and railing framework installation. After the wall is painted and reinforced, the site setting out shall be carried out before the painting, and the installation position and height of the railing shall be confirmed.

According to the requirements of the drawings and specifications and in combination with the length measured on site, make railings in the production workshop: weld the galvanized steel plate and galvanized steel plate sleeve core of the railing upright base (the galvanized steel plate sleeve core is 100 ~ 200mm away from the base, and the bolt holes with a diameter of 14mm are respectively opened at the middle position and 50 ~ 100mm away from the top for fixing with the bolts of the adjustable aluminum alloy column), and weld the sleeve core and the steel plate as a whole. The weld shall meet the requirements, be full and free of slag, and be subject to rust removal and anti-corrosion treatment. The railing shall be made according to the optimization drawing of railing and railing division. Divide and adjust the column according to the elevation and axis handed over at the construction site, determine the size of the column, insert the end of the galvanized steel sleeve core into the aluminum alloy column and fix it properly temporarily (as shown in Figure 2).

According to the position determined by the setting out, after the review is correct, place the prefabricated railing according to the requirements of the drawing, mark the hole position of the base steel plate, punch the hole of the rear part of the steel plate hole position of the railing base, and plant the reinforcement of the rear part. Fix the railing upright, level and fix the horizontal bar according to the adjustable bolts of the upright, which shall be firm and not loose. Cover the column decorative cover, the plastic protective cover of the tempered glass cushion groove and the plastic protective cover of the horizontal bar on the railing face (as shown in Figure 3).

(2) Glass installation, gluing and finished product protection. After the completion of wall decoration, glass installation and gluing shall be carried out. The handrail and wall edge shall be sealed with neutral silicone weather resistant sealant, the concave joint shall be embedded, and the color shall meet the requirements. The glue injection shall be dense, full and uniform. At the same time, pay attention to the glue application method to avoid waste. The finished products installed on the railing shall be protected continuously with the plastic protective cover of tempered glass cushion groove and the plastic protective cover of horizontal bar on the face of the railing.

4. Advantages of aluminum tube railing installation process improvement

(1) Compared with the traditional installation process, there is no need to embed the embedded parts in the structural construction. The embedding of the post embedded parts is positioned according to the completed structural surface, which reduces the embedding deviation and the control of the concrete compactness at the bottom of the steel plate during the concrete pouring process, and improves the accuracy of the railing installation.

(2) Due to the horizontal deviation of the concrete surface at the bottom of each column during structural construction, the installation of aluminum tube railing is uneven. This problem can be solved by adjusting the aluminum alloy column. Just adjust the fixing bolts that fix the aluminum tube rail and the galvanized steel sleeve core, and the aluminum tube rail can move down and up along the slot. After adjusting the corresponding height, fix it to maintain a uniform height.

(3) Adjustable columns can be centrally processed in the factory and can be produced according to the unified size. There is no need to produce columns with different heights according to the different embedding heights of on-site concrete structural surface and embedded parts. Factory production improves production efficiency and can speed up the progress of on-site installation.

(4) For the problem that slotting and fixing bolts are set between the aluminum tube railing column and the galvanized steel sheet sleeve core, the drawing is optimized, and the external opening is set with a clamping groove to install the column decorative cover plate, so as to facilitate the concealment of the cover of the fixing bolt (as shown in figure 4).

(5) The shaped plastic protective cover has high hardness and fits with the size of handrail or glass cushion groove. It is not easy to fall off and damage after installation. It can more effectively protect the finished products, and can be recycled and reused for many times, saving energy and environmental protection.

(6) Through the improvement of aluminum tube railing installation process, the embedding work of embedded parts is reduced; The design and installation cost of components are finalized, and the installation cost is effectively reduced; The finished protective cover (cover) can not only effectively ensure the quality, but also recycle and reuse, save energy and emission, and effectively reduce the construction cost. To sum up, combined with the costs of people, materials, machines and other parties, the construction cost of the project is reduced by about 12% after improving the installation process.

5 Conclusion

To sum up, the improvement of aluminum tube railing installation and construction process not only reduces the impact of structural deviation on railing installation, facilitates on-site installation, speeds up construction progress, effectively reduces construction cost, saves energy and reduces emission. At the same time, it also reduces the problem of wrangling among units during the handover of the working face and promotes the cooperation between units. Many benefits are not repeated.
